The concept of Adam and Eve has been a recurring theme in the TV show Supernatural. In the last episode And then there were none, Eve, who is known as the Mother of all Living, surfaces the earth, as Mother of all evil creatures, after being released from Purgatory, as seen in the episode “Like a Virgin.”
The name 'Eve'
Eve comes from the Hebrew word Chawah , which means "to breath" , "to give life", "to live". According to the Old Testament, Adam and Eve were the first people to ever walk on the earth, so Eve is the first Mother of all living beings that came after her.
According to Supernatural Wikia, Eve would be released from Purgatory, if a virgin was first sacrificed. Now on the loose, and with unique powers such as , regeneration, levitation, possession and monster creation, it is anyone’s guess what other creatures might follow.
When asked about his beliefs, Jensen Ackles, the actor who plays Dean Winchester replied , “I consider myself a nondenominational Christian. I grew up in a Bible Church and still hold those beliefs very close to me.”
And Then, There Were None
Most of the Supernatural episodes have taken their names from famous films like the 1945 detective mystery by Rene Sinclair, And Then, There Was None, a film based on an Agatha Christie story about 10 people and one murderer determined to leave no one standing.
Other episodes have taken their names from famous songs , like the famous Madonna song “Like a Virgin”.
